The Front Porch Barber Shop opened at 21 N. Mercer Street in February 2015 with owner and Barber, Daniel “Bubba” MacLean working alone. In August 2018, long-time client, now licensed barber, Sawyer Truby, Joined the shop. Sawyer’s best friend, Levi Morales, was added in late 2020 as an apprentice, and passed his state boards to become a licensed barber in January 2022. In December 2024, the barber shop relocated to Greenville’s downtown at 219 Main Street, next to the former Fry’s Appliances building. Recently, in July 2025, long-time client and friend, Tim Mengel has joined the staff as an apprentice. We anticipate TIm to take his state boards in April 2026. At this time, Bubba and Sawyer work by appointment, whereas Levi and tim accept only walk-in clients.
